NCAA Women’s Basketball Poll, Week 9

Another exciting week of women’s college hoops sees the Pac-12 regular-season champions, the Stanford Cardinal, back atop the top 25. They are followed by Texas A&M, who is undefeated vs. ranked opponents this season. NC State comes in at three, followed by UConn and South Carolina to round out the top five.

After a loss to Florida State, Louisville drops to six, Maryland comes in at seven, Pac-12 foes UCLA and Arizona fall to eight and nine, respectively, with the Baylor Lady Bears rounding out the top 10.

Indiana has made their way to No. 11 in the country, Michigan remains at 12, Oregon is 13 after a crushing loss to UCLA last week, and red-hot Georgia rises to 14 after an exciting victory over Tennessee on Sunday. The Lady Vols upset South Carolina on Thursday night, but their succeeding loss puts them at number 15 this week.

SEC opponent Arkansas rises to 16 this week, followed by West Virginia. Ohio State drops to 18, and South Florida and Kentucky round out the top 20. The Jackrabbits of South Dakota State climb to 21 this week with DePaul, Gonzaga, and Missouri State following. Rutgers enters the top 25 for the first time this season, narrowing out Georgia Tech, who suffered a disappointing loss to Boston College.

Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Iowa, Texas, and Alabama all received votes this week.
