NCAA Women’s Basketball Poll, Week 6

A week full of upsets and almost-upsets caused some shakeups in this week’s top 25 poll.

The Louisville Cardinals and NC State Wolfpack both held off their opponents over the weekend to remain one and two, respectively. The South Carolina Gamecocks sit at three this week, with UCLA and UConn following at four and five. Stanford drops one spot to six, with Texas A&M, Maryland, Arizona, and Baylor following to round out the top 10.

Oregon comes in at 11 this week, with Big Ten foes Michigan and Ohio State following at 12 and 13, respectively. The DePaul Blue Demons stay put at 14, while the Lady Vols soar to 15 after a tough battle against UConn, and a dominating win over Kentucky. The Wildcats, Indiana, South Florida, Georgia, and Northwestern go 16-20 this week.

Mississippi State clings to 21 and Arkansas falls to 22. The Hawkeyes of Iowa stay put at 23, Gonzaga moves up one spot to 24, and West Virginia enters the poll for the first time this season.
