– Gonzaga falls from 9 to 16 with their loss to BYU. I don’t rank the loss a bad one at all; in fact, I think the Cougars are very good. A win would have maintained the Zags’ position, but losing was a missed opportunity to add another quality win to their resume. While their best win (vs. Stanford) is better than most, it is the next few best wins that drop off. That is why I have teams like Miami (FL) and others in front of them now.
– Rutgers (21), Texas A&M (24), and Michigan State (25) fall out of the poll.
– Missouri (23), Drake (24), and BYU (25) enter the poll.
