Notes
– Notre Dame is in front of UConn despite losing head-to-head because, quite frankly, UConn hasn’t beaten enough good teams, and they’ve been tentative in the wins they have had. The victory over the Irish aside, they haven’t beaten another team currently ranked in the top 25. Notre Dame, meanwhile has beaten five such teams, including two top 10 teams in Louisville and Marquette.
– There are no new members to the poll this week – just a lot of shifting. Drake and Utah both moved to the fringes after their losses, but both have enough good wins and neither of them had an inexcusable loss this week. Although Drake did lose their first conference game since 2016.
