NCAA Division I top 25 poll: week four

After an eventful Thanksgiving weekend, full of fun match-ups, the defending National Champions remain atop this week’s top 25 poll after coming back to defeat No. 9 Oregon State. In the same tournament, South Carolina fell twice (vs No. 9 Oregon State and Drake). UConn was able to survive a scare from St. John’s, while Baylor was able to narrowly pull away from South Dakota State in Las Vegas. Young Tennessee was tested in the Bahamas, escaping Clemson, followed by pulling out an overtime thriller vs UAB.

This week features the same ten teams in the top 10: Notre Dame, Oregon, UConn, Baylor, Mississippi State, Louisville, Maryland, Stanford, Oregon State, and Texas. The SEC continues to lead the top 25 poll with six teams ranked (Mississippi State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Georgia, Missouri).

Notable match-ups this week: Pepperdine (3-0) at Colorado State (5-0); No. 2 UConn hosts No. 17 DePaul; Iowa State travels to South Dakota; Georgia Tech will battle No. 7 Maryland; No. 21 Minnesota will be heavily-tested as they host No. 12 Syracuse; No. 12 Iowa travels to South Bend to take on No. 1 Notre Dame; No. 15 NC State will host Michigan; No. 10 Texas plays host to No. 5 Mississippi State; Michigan will battle No. 18 Marquette; the 11th-ranked Lady Vols will travel to Stillwater to face Oklahoma State; No. 4 Baylor travels to No. 14 South Carolina; and No. 1 Notre Dame faces No. 2 UConn.
