USA wins World Cup trophy and seals 2020 Tokyo bid

The USA beat Australia, 73-56, to win the World Cup and punch a ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

It is the third straight World Cup gold for the Americans.

Breanna Stewart was named tournament MVP. Other first team honorees were Diana Taurasi, Emma Meesseman, Astou Ndour and Liz Cambage.

Spain got by Belgium, 67-60, for third place.
