Los Angeles – A double-punch by Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike sent the Los Angeles Sparks past the Atlanta Dream Tuesday, 72-64, to give them their second straight win.

Parker scored 18 points and Ogwumike 11, along with 10 rebounds, to squash a strong start for the Dream. Chelsea Gray added 10 points and seven assists for Los Angeles.

Tiffany Hayes led the Dream with 16 points, while Jessica Breland had 14 and Angel McCoughtry scored 12.

The Sparks’ clamped down on defense in the second quarter and limited the Dream to 25 percent shooting. The visitors didn’t get any closer than six points after that.
