The Sun stopped the Sparks, 102-94. It was the first time in WNBA history that a franchise has begun a season with consecutive 100-plus point games. Six Connecticut players scored in double figures. LA is still without Candace Parker and Jantel Lavender.

The Mystics downed the Fever, 93-84. Indiana rookie Kelsey Mitchell made her first start and scored 25 points – the first rookie to do so in franchise history since 2005.
