San Antonio – In the final match up of the regular season, the Dallas Wings defeated the San Antonio Stars, 81-69, to take the series, 3-0. It was the third straight victory for Dallas, as San Antonio fell to 0-13.
Skylar Diggins-Smith led the Wings with 30 points and give assists, while Theresa Plaisance scored a season-high 19 points and rookie Allisha Gray added 12.
The Wings had control of the game until the fourth quarter, when Stars guard Moriah Jefferson scored her first points of the game to give her team a 59-58 lead. Dallas responded by going on a 23-7 run to close out the game.
The Wings were out rebounded 34-29, and it was those second-chance opportunities that kept San Antonio in the game. The Stars were led by Kayla McBride with 20 points, and Isabelle Harrison added 12.
