The Lynx are coming for that no. 1 spot following victory

San Antonio. – Scoring a team high 20 points, Seimone Augustus not only aided in the Lynx in their 81-76 victory over the Stars Sunday, but helped pave the way for them to clinch the No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming playoffs.

With the game tied up at 73 at just under two minutes remaining, Augustus took over and scored the next six points, giving them a 79-76 lead. Rebekkah Brunson would then put the game away, sinking two free in the game’s final seconds.

In her 200th career game, Maya Moore recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds. Brunson led the Lynx in rebounding with eleven.

Minnesota secured the top seed following Los Angeles’ loss to Seattle, and will retain home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

Despite losing their sixth consecutive game, San Antonio rookie Moriah Jefferson lead all scorers with a game-high 26 points and eight assists. Astou Ndour scored 14 points to go along with her eight rebounds.
