Lynx notch yet another victory, and a 10-0 start

Washington, D.C. – The Lynx had plenty of reasons to celebrate Saturday night as they notched another victory and continued their unbeaten streak in an 83-76 win over the Washington Mystics.

Leading the pack for the 10-0 Lynx was Seimone Augustus, who scored 21 points in 32 minutes of action after missing the previous night’s game with concussion-like symptoms. Three other Lynx players notched double figures, including Maya Moore, who on her 27th birthday had 15 points and 5 assists. Minnesota has tied their own league record for best season start.

Forward Emma Meesseman’s 21 points wasn’t enough for the Mystics, who lead the visitors by 2 at halftime and hung tight with them until they were outscored 23-8 in the third quarter. Rookie Kahleah Copper saw 12 minutes of play in her return, after missing the previous two games with concussion-like symptoms.

The Lynx will seek to break their season start record, which they set in 2012, on Tuesday as they host the Indiana Fever.
