What a night in college hoops.
Notre Dame outlasted UConn in three overtimes, 96-87. It was the first triple-OT game in Irish history, and the last home game for senior point guard Skylar Diggins. She played all 55 minutes and put up 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Notre Dame claimed the Big East title. The Huskies set a school record 36 turnovers.
Someone said on twitter tonight that Notre Dame Coach Muffet McGraw is UConn Coach Geno Auriemma’s kryptonite. Interesting thought.

On the other side of the country, Brittney Griner was pacing Baylor over Kansas State. She did it with a Big 12 single-game record 50 points, which included a spin dunk.
In the third key match up of the evening, Syracuse upset Louisville, 68-57.
