Katie Douglas sprained her ankle early in the first quarter, but that didn’t stop the Fever. They dominated the Sun for the rest of the game to win the Eastern Conference title, 87-71. Tamika Catchings lead Indiana with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Douglas had been the Fever’s leading scorer throughout the playoffs, which made tonight’s win all the more amazing.
Game one against Western Conference champs Minnesota is Sunday.
