Fourth quarter run lifts Lynx past Fever

Indianapolis Ind. – With their playoff position already locked in, the Minnesota Lynx continued their winning ways Friday night, defeating Indiana 82-75.

Maya Moore led the Lynx with 15 points, 11 of which coming in a fourth quarter that saw Minnesota go on a 21-9 scoring run to ensure the victory.

Possessing only a one point advantage, Renee Montgomery got the ball to Janel McCarville, who then started the Lynx scoring outbreak with a 17 foot jump shot.

The bench was the story of the game for the Lynx as they recorded 44 of Minnesota’s 82, marking a new season high. Keisha Hampton led the second unit with 13 points while Renee Montgomery added in 10.

Marissa Coleman scored a game high 19 points for the Fever, who now fall to 16-17 on the season.  With her four rebounds Friday, Tamika Catchings became the WNBA’s all time leading rebounder passing Lisa Leslie with 3307.

The Lynx wrap up the regular season Saturday when they host the Atlanta Dream.
