Connecticut, Syracuse advance to Championship game by routing opponents

Indianapolis, Ind. – Connecticut and Syracuse will face off for the National Championship Tuesday after each routed their opponents in the semifinal round.

Connecticut beat Oregon State, 80-51. Morgan Tuck lead the way for the Huskies with 21 points while Breanna Stewart added 16. Jamie Weisner was the high scorer for the Beavers, with 13 points, and Ruth Hamblin had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Syracuse downed Washington, 80-59, behind 18 points from Alexis Peterson and 17 from Brittney Sykes. Talia Walton lead the Huskies with 29 points, while Kelsey Plum had 17.
