  1. Is a college hoop player who remains age-eligible allowed to play for a youth team in the summer?
    When I was stepping away from coaching fastpitch softball in the very late '90's, that was becoming a common recruiting practice, particularly among the powerhouse programs like the Orange County Batbusters and Gordon's Panthers from out there in your neck of the woods, Ms.F.
    The governing body (ASA) even adjusted the cut-off date for age determination, presumably to abet this practice…and the college coaches didn't seem to object.
