Rough day

More on Cal State Fullerton:

The athletics department had a press conference earlier today to address the killing of assistant basketball coach Monica Quan and her fiancee. Head Coach Marcia Foster said:

“A really bright light was put out way too soon — someone whose passion was impacting young women with the game of basketball. As an assistant, she was someone I counted on to tell me the truth. I loved that about her; I loved her work ethic and her passion for life. We’ve got some work to do; we’ve got to do something to stop this violence. Too many women are being impacted by it.”

There is no clear motive in the two deaths at this time.

  1. The sibling story is very cool. It's totally true that if you grow up playing with a sib you have something special going on when the chips are down in competition. It's a beautiful thing.
