In other WNBA news, the Sparks’ Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton has learned much this season from her assistant coaching gig at Purdue.

Several WNBA stars can be seen in this great photo gallery of the UMMC Ekaterinburg vs. Nadezhda Orenburg game. I like this Candace Parker picture, myself.

  1. yeah, in a perfect world people would be getting turned away at the box office for w games. alas, that's not the way it is in real life. so if teams need to hook up with a corporate sponsor to stay afloat, then so be it.

seriously, the alternative (either sooner or later) is no team. thanks, but i'll get over the logo on the unis to have my summer fix. 🙂

don't get why so many folks get their panties in a twist over the logo placements. its business. nothing more, nothing less. the point of being in business is to make money (i don't care how altruistic force10 hoops professes to be about this). taking on partners is an accepted part of business.

people need to let go of the idea that the w is some sort of lofty endeavor. let me say it one more time, its a business. a business that wants to turn a profit. a business that must turn a profit if it wants to continue to exist and grow.
