She left yesterday for Ekaterinburg, Russia to play for 3-4 months, depending upon whether or not her team makes the playoffs.

Her layover in Germany today was eventful, and she noticed Germans stand much closer together than Americans. She said mother Sara, who is with her, “noticed that it was cold.” I bet.

Looks like the youngsta is doin OK so far.
In the meantime, the Seattle Storm’s Sue Bird is also on the way back to Russia. But it’s a painful thing for her in the wake of November’s assasination of the owner of her team, Shabtai von Kalmanovic, who she also considered a friend.
